The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has approved the schedule for the new academic year 2024-25. According to a notification issued by the provincial department on Thursday, the academic year will commence on August 1, 2024, instead of April 1, 2024.
The department has decided to promote nursery to class 3 students to the next grades without conducting any exams. Exams for classes 4 to 8 will be held from April 15 to April 27, while board exams for classes 9 and 10 will take place in May.
The spokesperson of the department also announced that matriculation and intermediate exams will be held in the last week of May 2024, with results being announced on July 31 and the second week of August 31, respectively.
Regarding the exam format, it was shared that exams will consist of 20% multiple-choice questions, 40% constructed questions, and 40% extended questions.
Furthermore, summer vacation for the academic session 2024-25 will commence from June 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024. Winter vacations for the session will start from December 21, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
